The Holy Spirit is not a force, but the essence of the living God!
God is Spirit and the Father was never without his spirit, nor without his Logos, his Word:
<<In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth……and his Spirit was hovering over the waters>> and God SAID “Let there be light”(Genesis 1:1)
<< Through him, the Logos, the Word of God, all things were made, without him nothing nothing was made that has been made!>> << And the Word -of God- was with God FROM the BEGINNING !>>(John 1:1-2)
There was never a time when God was without Christ, without his Word, his Logos! Nor there was ever a time that he was without his Spirit.(Genesis 1:1)
Like the incarnate Christ is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being (Hebrews 1:3) so the holy Spirit is not a person, but is the ESSENCE of the living God!
God is a spirit, and as in the past manifested his will through the prophets, and the apostles, now he also manifest s his will through the Holy Spirit !
Some of the attributes, characteristics of the character of the Holy Spirit, mentioned in the bible:
THE HOLY SPIRIT
# Guides the believer in all truth (Romans 8:14, john 16:14)
# Declares and announces in advance
# Says what he hears from God
# Glorifies, and honors, Christ!
Christ said to his disciples: << But when the Spirit of truth comes,
a) He will GUIDE you into all truth
b) He will not speak of his own, he will speak only what he hears,
C) He will TELL you, what is yet to come
d) He will bring glory to me, by taking from what is mine and making it known to you, all the above from John 16:14.

<<But you did not receive a spirit that makes you slave to fear, but a spirit of SONSHIP, and by him, or because of the spirit of Sonship we cry “Abba Father” (Romans 8:15)
<< The spirit testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children !>> (Romans 8:16)
# Convicts the world of guilt.(John 16:8)
